It connects people seeking holistic support ("seekers") with practitioners who offer services like breathwork, Reiki, energy work, coaching, bodywork, yoga, meditation, spiritual guidance, Ayurveda (as a lifestyle practice), and sound healing. Lokahi is NOT a healthcare, medical, or clinical platform. Practitioners offer wellness services in a non-medical, non-clinical capacity. ## How Booking Works 1. A seeker searches by modality and/or location 2. They discover practitioners and can view profiles with bios, photos, offerings, availability, and reviews 3. They can message a practitioner before booking 4. They book a session, selecting an offering, date, and time 5. Payment is processed via Stripe at booking time 6. The platform retains a 10% fee; the remainder goes to the practitioner ## Practitioner Profiles Each practitioner has a public profile at /practitioner/{slug} showing: - Name, photo, and bio - Modalities and specialties - Session offerings (type, duration, price) - Availability calendar - Location(s) - Reviews from past clients ## Platform Values - Not curated for a purpose — no ranking or gatekeeping; seekers use their own discernment - Room for fresh practitioners — newer facilitators are welcomed - Transparent pricing — platform fee and session prices are shown openly - Accessible to every budget — practitioners are encouraged to offer sliding-scale options ## The Name Lokahi comes from Hawaiian: unity, harmony, and balance. Practitioners can also list specialties within these modalities. ### How are payments handled? All payments go through Stripe. Seekers pay at the time of booking. Practitioners receive 90% of the session price directly to their connected Stripe account.
